The day I MET Irene was a turning point for me. I had been at a crossroads in deciding on my surgery for bilateral mastectomy. I had already had ovarian cancer, and since I am BRCA positive, was on the road to selecting the proper Dr. and procedure for a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. To say the least, every decision along the way was so stressful and felt insurmountable. I felt so confused and at times had thought of not even doing the surgery at all….until the day I heard from Irene.

I had just left work. As I was walking to my car, I asked God for help in my decision and what happened next is what I believe to be messages from a higher power. As I got into my car, I read the license plate on the car in front of me…ANGEL 24. Then I put on the radio and the song, Angel of the morning, came on. I stopped and asked myself “is someone trying to tell me something?” I came home and played my phone messages and Irene was one of my messages explaining that she was Dr. Broukhim's Holistic Health Coach and that I should contact her.

I called her and she explained everything to me. She reassured me my choice of doctor's was excellent. She told me she would be there for me from beginning to end of my ordeal. She said “I will be your guardian angel throughout this difficult time. Immediately I felt chills run down my spine and a sense of calm take place. After our conversation, I knew all would be well and I was at ease with all my decisions thereafter.

Through our visits, Irene has explained that mind, body and spirit all work together for well being. She has taught m the correct way to eat, and special techniques for relaxation. Her involvement in my whole procedure was just as important as the doctor's presence. She has a gift and I believe that she was my ANGEL sent to me to make my surgery even physically possible and post surgery emotionally healing.

I thank her for her support, kindness and generosity. She has made my life free of stress during this trying time and has taught me so much for my family's well being and a way for me to be cancer free for the rest of my life.

Irene Karp is the best kept secret on Long Island. If you have reached a point where you are overwhelmed by your life's circumstances and feel that you are far away from where you should be in your life, then the best decision you can make is to call them. I was referred to them through my business partner who knew that I was distressed about a wrecked relationship, frustrated with work, and unhappy with my life. My attitude was so bad that it was impacting our business so I agreed to go even though I was against alternative therapies. I wanted to go one time and get out. But I was met with kindness, intelligence, humor, and compassion, the kind of compassion that you get from a loving family member.
